WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. The Ws are the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you plan on reading next?
📖 Days Without End by Sebastian Barry — e-book // I started this after a mutual recommended it to me (all I had to hear was “soft gays” and I one-clicked it, also because it was very cheap). It’s not at all what I was expecting, the writing is very unique and a constant narration from the MC. It tells about horrible things in the war so it’s not an easy read but the MC is in an established relationship with another man and every time he mentions him it’s so lovely. Also, from reviews I’ve seen, #theyhaveadaughter.
🎧 Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert — ALC // I’m FINALLY reading this after receiving both a digital ARC and a listening copy. I’m audiobooking it so far because I had some chores to do but I think I will read most of the last 50% with my digital ARC. Talia Hibbert never disappoints and this book doesn’t disappoint either.
📘 The Pursuit of… by Courtney Milan — e-book // this was a reread I had been looking forward to since the moment I first finished this novella. I don’t really know how to express the pure JOY I felt while reading this, both the first and the second time. It’s just, such an unadulterated queer story and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time, I highly recommend it as it’s my #1 favorite novella of all times (and you guys might know I don’t usually have an easy time declaring something is my absolute favorite).
📕 Nottingham: The True Story of Robyn Hood by Anna Burke — e-book // this was one of my most anticipated releases of January and I finally got myself a digital copy. I figured if I don’t do this while in forced quarantine time then I might as well call myself a fake sapphic.
